Phone numbers: ₹649 per 30 days and what happens on a low balance

Buying a dedicated number, the verification it needs, the recurring 30-day rental taken from credits, why a number pauses when the balance is low, and how to release one.

A dedicated number is the line a caller calls from. Without one, test calls go out on our shared outgoing line. A number costs ₹649 per 30 days, charged from your credit balance.

Getting a number

  1. Verify your account email.
  2. Complete phone verification on the Numbers page. The carrier needs it before it can issue an Indian number: Buy → Submit documents → Under review → Auto-attached & live.
  3. Click Buy a new number or Browse numbers, search, and buy. Tick Confirm initial rental charge; the first ₹649 is taken immediately.
  4. Assign the number to a caller. The row shows “Answered by <caller>” or “Not assigned”.

Renewal and low balance

Every 30 days the rental is taken from your credits. If the balance cannot cover it, the number is paused straight away and you get the email “Your phone number is paused — add credits to keep it”. While paused it cannot place or answer calls; nothing else is deleted. Add credits and the number resumes with the next renewal. There is no grace period, so keep at least ₹649 spare around the renewal date; the low-credit email arrives well before.

Releasing a number

Unassign it from its caller first, then click Release, type the full number to confirm and choose Confirm release. Rental for the current period is not refunded.
