Make changes live, Undo and version history
Every AI caller has a draft you edit and a live version real calls use. How making changes live works, what Undo restores, which changes skip versioning, and how to restore an older version.
Updated 5 October 2026
You never edit a live caller directly. Each caller has one draft version where all edits go, and one live (published) version that real calls use. Older live versions are kept as retired.
Unpublished edits
When the draft differs from what is live, the caller's header shows an Unpublished edits pill and a banner saying real calls don't use the edits yet. Two buttons sit next to it.
- Make changes live turns the draft into the live version (the first time, this is “Publish”). The previous live version is retired, and a new draft is created as a copy so you can keep editing.
- Undo changes asks you to confirm, then replaces the draft with a copy of the live version: script, greeting, steps, variables, captured fields, actions, knowledge, voice, strictness, end rules, language and call time limit. It appears only once something has been published.
Version history
On the Settings tab, Version history lists every version as “Version n · live / draft / retired”, with a LIVE badge on the current one. A retired version has a Restore button: it becomes live again and the draft follows it. Nothing is deleted, so you can always go back.
- Pausing a caller stops its calls without touching versions; Resume brings it back.
- Switching the caller's category clears its call history and first saves a version you can restore.
- Archive (under Reset or archive) stops all its calls and hides it from your list; call history and contacts are kept.
