Voice, language and background sound
Choosing the language and voice on the Voice tab, what the Value, Standard and Premium tiers cost per minute, and how background sound keeps the line from sounding empty.
Updated 5 October 2026
The Voice tab sets voice, speaking speed and language. The voice you pick sets the per-minute rate of every call this caller makes, so it is a pricing choice as well as a sound.
Language
Primary language tiles: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi and English. Choosing a language selects its recommended voice and shows only voices that speak it. The caller switches to English mid-call when the person does. The account-wide default in Settings is Telugu + English.
Voice tiers and price
- Value: quick, light voices that suit high-volume calling.
- Standard: natural, clear voices for everyday calling.
- Premium: the most natural sound, for your main customer-facing caller. Every voice costs the same ₹7.98 a minute.
Press play on a voice to preview it, then Save voice. The rate shows as ₹/min beside each voice. Calls are billed in 30-second blocks at that rate; see Credits and billing. The voice is part of the versioned draft, so it reaches real calls when you make changes live.
Background sound
Soft background noise so the line does not sound empty. It is on by default with Office at 15% volume. The other settings are Call centre, Restaurant / café, Retail store and Quiet room (silence). The volume slider runs 0–100% in steps of 5. Save background sound applies it.
