Getting started: your first AI caller, step by step

From signup to the first real call: create an AI caller from a brief, check the script and voice, test it, add credits and a number, connect consenting leads, and review the results.

Updated 5 October 2026

ElevateBox gives your business AI callers that ring your leads in Telugu, Hindi or English, note what was said and book the next step. This page covers the whole journey; each step links to its own guide.

1. Sign up

Create an account with your email and a password (8+ characters with a letter and a number) or with Google, your business name and an Indian mobile number. You start with 50 free credits, about ten minutes of standard talk time. No card is needed.

2. Describe the job

Open Create a caller and either answer five questions with guided setup or write the brief yourself. A named caller with a script, a voice and captured fields is ready in a minute or two. Creating it is free.

3. Prepare the conversation

Open the caller to edit the call script, choose a voice, set the captured fields and add your business facts on the Knowledge tab. Save every change before testing.

4. Test and publish

Hear it before anyone else does: the Chat test is free; Try it and a test call cost the normal call rate. Then press Publish. A test first is recommended, but publishing never waits for it.

5. Prepare calling

Add credits and, if you want your own caller line, a phone number. Every paid call reserves credits for its maximum length and returns what it did not use.

6. Connect consenting leads

Connect a lead source so each new enquiry is rung within seconds, or start a call list. Record consent for every contact and confirm before starting; see Do-not-call list and consent.

7. Review the results

Open a call in Call history for its transcript, summary, outcome and recording, or let a post-call webhook send each call to your own system. The To do list on Home shows what to fix first, and the daily report lands at 8 am.

When something says it is unavailable

Calling, payments and recordings each depend on a service we switch on for your account. If one of them is off you will see a message saying so, and trying again will not turn it on. Tell us which screen showed it at [email protected] and we will sort it out with you; this is on our side, not yours.

Common questions

Which screens are there?
Home (is it working), AI callers (who calls), Lead response (a lead arrives, a caller rings it), Call lists (a list gets called), Incoming calls, Contacts (who you reached), Call history (what was said), Knowledge (what your callers know), Numbers, Reports (is it converting), Billing (the prepaid wallet) and Settings.
Do I need a phone number to start?
No. Test calls can go out on our shared line, and your welcome credit covers live calls from it too. Buy a dedicated number (₹649 per 30 days) when you want your own caller line.
